I keep seeing different types of machine advertised & talked about but dont really know what the differences are, i.e. different style of machine??
Bulldog, shorty, cut back, .... etc etc. Also smaller machines for lining.

Can anybody enlighten me as to are these just different frame styles or are there fundemental differences as to how the machines work?

Cheers

Most are just design or frame names......when it says shorty, this refers to the coils...they are 25mm long coils...normal coils are 32mm long...cut backs are the really short front spring for a liner machine...all coil machines work on the same basis....electro magnets. hope this helps.

yeah shorty is the type of coils. bulldog is the name for the shape of the machine, i think... you also get dial, walker etc...
not sure about cutback but i think its just a shortened version of a machine normally used as a liner.
