After watching the DVD "Dean Deakyne - Introduction To Black & grey" I thought Id give it a go.

First go at shading with greywashes.

Hi Graham,

I agree too!!! That is an excellent tattoo!

someone asked the other day about making a tat look metallic - I think this tat has a metallic look? maybe worth a look at this DVD......

Cheers for the comments, Got the DVD from Dave "tattooz".

Was pleased with the result but think I need to wash the ink out even more. I use Talons which is very dark.
For this tatt. I used 2 drops of ink in a small cap then filled the rest with witch hazel, also 1 drop in small cap. & full black. Next time 2 drops in larger cap!

I learnt a lot from the DVD & even more from this tatt. looking forwrad to more black & grey work.

Cheers,
I found it very useful. I had an idea of what I should be doing before watching it but he shows how to build up the layers & look at the light areas as well as technique.
Depending on your experience Id say get it. It starts with the basics of machine setup etc & goes from there.
Drop Tatooz a message, I got the DVD from him. He has loads of good stuff.
