Hi people,
I've just managed to find a butcher who is happy to supply me with skin on a regular basis.:icon_lol:
I just want to know if it's best to prep the skin in any way prior to tattooing or if i can just get straight in to it?
Also can the skin be frozen? or does it ruin it once thawed out?:icon_rolleyes:

Thanks for any advice.

Hi Simon, i put mine straight in the freezer and bring it out when needed. I put it in a freezer bag and thaw it out in warm water for 5 mins etc. Then i lightly dab it off with a towel as some water will always leak in, i then clean it with a alcohol wipe to clean the area of oils.
After ive done all that, i apply my stencil with a small amount of dettol.

Hope that helps.:icon_cheesygrin:

Hi

I slight smear of vaseline applied will help clean off excess ink, pig skin tends to be very rough and you can easily over do it with grease and clogging up your tips.
